Meet Mia MY’s Founder
You could say that Mia MY Creations started 70 years ago. That’s when my grandmother Nana created a stylish jacket. The jacket was unusual – and very special – because her girlfriends wrote positive messages all over it! She kept this jacket and eventually handed it down to my mom.
A little over a year ago, I started thinking about how tough it is to be a tween girl today. Let’s face it, they’re bombarded with images of young celebrities engaged in thoughtless and downright dangerous behavior. I believe that tweens need positive role models and wholesome but stylish products that can be inspirational during a time when they are experiencing emotional and physical changes. This is how the idea of Mia MY was created. I thought about Nana’s jacket and what it meant to her all those years ago. I also remembered the lessons I learned throughout my own tween, teen and young adult years – as a Girl Scout, captain of the swim team, a volunteer, and now as a woman executive in corporate America. I founded Mia MY to help increase the confidence level of girls ages 6-12. I strongly believe if more women grow up with confidence in themselves, the world will be a better place. Our tweens are the women of tomorrow. We need to provide brands and products that will increase their self esteem and help our girls be the best they can be. Founder Mia MY Creations |

About Mia MY Creations
What does it mean to be a "tween?" The tween years can be big fun - but they can also be a big challenge! "Too old for toys, but too young for boys," tweens today need support as they deal with physical and emotional changes. And they need their voices to be heard.
